If you’ve been anywhere near the theatre this week, you might have heard the sounds of frantic footsteps, a dizzying array of accents, and a fair amount of laughter. That’s because The 39 Steps is officially mid-run, and the energy backstage is just as electric as it is out front.
Whether you’re a fan of the classic Hitchcock film or just in the mood for a night of pure theatrical invention, this is the show for you. Our small-but-mighty cast is currently sprinting through dozens of roles, lightning-fast costume changes, and one very famous chase across the Scottish Highlands—all without leaving our stage.
Why You Need to Catch It This Week:
- A Masterclass in Creativity: Seeing our actors recreate a plane crash, a moving train, and a romantic escape with little more than a few trunks and a lot of imagination is something you have to see to believe.
- Non-Stop Laughs: It’s a spy thriller, yes—but it’s one that celebrates the silliness of the genre. Expect sharp wit, physical comedy, and plenty of theatrical magic.
- The Perfect Night Out: There’s nothing quite like the energy of a live audience as Richard Hannay tries to save the country (and his own skin) against all odds.
We are performing all the way through to Saturday night, so there is still time to grab your tickets and join the fun. Don’t leave it too late, though—once the final curtain falls this weekend, the mystery of the 39 Steps disappears for good!
