One night in a TV studio, an army Major sits in the hot seat of the nation’s biggest quiz show, chasing the million-pound question. What happens next divides a courtroom, a jury, and the country. Told with the pace and wit of a live broadcast, this production puts the audience in the gallery, the studio, and the jury box all at once — asking you to reach your own verdict before the credits roll.
For this one, we’ve gone further than we ever have before. The Little Theatre stage is being turned into a genuine working TV studio, cameras, lights, vision mixing and all, so that what you’re watching feels like it’s actually being broadcast live in front of you rather than performed at you.
And this show is genuinely interactive. Bring your phone. As the questions are asked on stage, you’ll be voting along in real time, so the graphics, the tension, and the outcome are all happening live, in the room, with you playing a major part with how the show unfolds.
All of this, the on-stage graphics, the live vote, the studio look, has been built and programmed from scratch by our very own in-house Tech team, SDC DigiFX. They’re the people behind all of the digital media magic you see on our stage throughout the season, and Quiz is their biggest build yet.
There’s also an original score running right through the show, specially commissioned for this production and composed from scratch by our in-house Tech Team. It echoes that same rising tension and build to a climax audiences will recognise from the original Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.
