The Faces of the Neighbourhood

One of the best things about the Little Theatre Southport is the incredible range of talent that comes together to populate our fictional Doncaster. Beyond the shop counter, it’s the local characters—the paper boys, the milk delivery lads, and even the occasional “uninvited guest” in the middle of the night—who make the world of Open All Hours feel so alive. Today, we’re spotlighting two performers who are keeping the shop (and Arkwright!) on its toes.

Tony Teresa as Paper Boy & Burglar
Tony is relatively new to the acting world, having caught the bug just two years ago. Since then, he’s been keeping incredibly busy, with roles in ‘Allo ‘Allo and the short play Fallen Angels. Tony is pulling double duty in this production, appearing as the Paper Boy and a very stealthy Burglar. He’s been a fantastic addition to the team and says he’s “looking forward to being on stage again” at the Little Theatre. We’re certainly glad to have his energy in the cast!

Joshua Jones as Milk Boy & Burglar
At 23, Joshua Jones is already becoming a familiar face at the Little Theatre Southport, with previous credits including ‘Allo ‘Allo, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and DNA. When he isn’t rehearsing or trying to sneak past Arkwright as a burglar, Joshua spends his time giving back to the community as a volunteer at the Southport YMCA. He’s playing both the Milk Boy and a Burglar, and his enthusiasm for the craft has been a joy to watch throughout the rehearsal process.
From morning milk to midnight mischief, there’s always something happening on this corner. We’ve had a blast putting it all together—just make sure you’ve got your eyes peeled when the lights go down!
