It is finally here! After weeks of laughter in the rehearsal room, the Little Theatre Southport is officially “Open All Hours”!
Tonight’s the Night: Doncaster Comes to Southport!
The shutters are up, the grocer’s coat is on, and that temperamental till is primed and ready to snap. Our production is a special “amalgamation” of your favourite scenes from the iconic TV series, knitted together into four hilarious episodes just for our stage.
Our Director, Elspeth Fisher, and the entire team have had a lot of fun bringing this beloved world to life. From the authentic 1970s shop stock sourced by Dave and Wendy Cox to the incredible set built by Pete Beswick and his crew, every detail has been crafted to transport you straight to Arkwright’s corner.
What to Expect Tonight:
- A Warm Welcome: Kick off 2026 with a healthy dose of nostalgia and laughter.
- The Full Experience: Watch as Adrian Miles-Roberts (Arkwright) and Chris Smalley (Granville) navigate the perils of the shop floor. Not to mention the unsuspecting customers who dare enter!
Don’t forget! If you are joining us for the first Saturday matinee (tomorrow, 24th January), you can stick around afterwards for a Q&A session in the bar to meet the cast and director.
