Rancid and the Spirit of the Beans Hit the Airwaves

What a morning! The festive buzz surrounding the Southport Dramatic Club’s production of Jack and the Beanstalk just got even louder as two of our favourite panto stars brightened up the airwaves this morning.
The dastardly villain ‘Rancid’, played brilliantly by Catherine Dunne, and the magical ‘Spirit of the Beans’, brought to life by Emma Wells-Hall, swapped the stage for the studio to chat with Paul Beesley on his BBC Radio Merseyside morning show.
It was a fantastic listen, with Rancid no doubt plotting her next evil scheme and the Spirit of the Beans reminding everyone to embrace the panto magic. The interview gave listeners a brilliant behind-the-scenes peek at the chaos and comedy that goes into making Southport’s best family panto.
