The Glass Menagerie – Southport Dramatic Club

In a cramped St. Louis apartment, Tom Wingfield struggles to balance his own dreams of escape with his devotion to his fragile sister, Laura, and their overbearing mother, Amanda. Living largely in the past and in the shadows of their own imaginations, the family’s delicate reality is held together by memories and Laura’s collection of glass animals.

The arrival of a long-awaited ‘gentleman caller’ brings a glimmer of hope to their secluded world, but also threatens to shatter the illusions they have built to survive.
