Here at the Little Theatre, we truly believe that the magic of panto should be accessible to absolutely everyone. That’s why we are especially proud to offer dedicated British Sign Language (BSL) interpreted performances for our spectacular Christmas show, Jack and the Beanstalk!
Tickets are flying fast for Southport’s favourite festive treat, so we wanted to shine a spotlight on these very special dates and the amazing person who brings the story to life for our BSL-using audience members.

We are hosting two dedicated performances where a professional BSL interpreter will be visible on the stage to interpret all the hilarious dialogue, classic singalongs, and crucial plot points.
- Saturday 27th December at 5:30 PM
- Sunday 28th December at 2:30 PM
Meet Our Star Interpreter!
Audiences who’ve attended past BSL performances will know exactly what to expect. The interpreter is the same powerhouse who signed last year’s panto and also brought her energy to Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. She doesn’t simply translate – she performs.
- Her signing is expressive, theatrical, and perfectly in sync with the rhythm of the show.
- She mirrors the emotions of the characters, whether it’s Jack’s wide-eyed wonder or the Dame’s cheeky asides.
- At times, she feels like an extra cast member, joining in the fun and amplifying the magic for Deaf audiences.
It’s this commitment – giving it her all, every gesture alive with character – that makes the BSL performances unforgettable.

If you require BSL interpreted seats, please do not book online. For the very best view of both the stage and the interpreter, our Box Office team must allocate specific seats. With tickets already racing out the door, early booking is essential to secure your place at these inclusive performances.
