Marketing and Publicity
The Marketing Committee is responsible for the marketing and promotion of the Little Theatre and all SDC productions.
We use a number of different channels including:
- Posters – working with the director of the play and a professional graphic artist to identify a strong image to promote the play. We arrange printing and display around the theatre and other establishments
- Programmes – working with a number of people to generate the programme for each production. Arranging for a welcome and introduction, a description of the play and playwright, a list of cast and crew and a piece promoting the following production. Identifying and securing advertisers to help cover the costs of design and printing
- Social media – Managing creation and posting of content on Facebook and Instagram. Responding to questions and enquiries from the public
- Website – Managing the design and creation of content
- Flyers – creating flyers to promote half-seasons and individual productions
- In-theatre display screens – creating images and text to promote upcoming productions
- Competitions – organising and managing promotional competitions
- Events – identifying suitable opportunities for promotion including fayres, fetes and other events and arranging for representation.
Marketing are also responsible for taking photos of rehearsals and working with directors and actors to identify and generate powerful images. We also work with other companies to promote their productions and performances at the Little Theatre.
